My husband likes to tell this story: A rancher and his city dwelling friend were sitting on a bench outside the grocery store while their wives were shopping. The city dweller said, “I inherited some land and think I’ll go into the cattle business like you.”
The rancher replied,” If you do I can tell you how to make a small fortune in the cattle business.” The city dweller said, excitedly “Tell me more.”
Well, said the rancher, “it works like this. You start with a large fortune then you work for years in the heat, the rain, the cold and periods when it doesn’t rain for months and before you know it, your large fortune has become a small fortune .
